In continuation of his Familiarisation visit to all the MDAs in the state, the Bauchi state head of civil has on Monday visited two ministries and three agencies.
The Bauchi state head of service Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Ningi called on the state civil servants to always obey lawful orders and desist and desist from participating in active politics.
While at the headquarters of the state ministry health the head of the service met with the staff of the ministry as well as those of Bauchi state primary health care development agency, where he stressed the importance of health care which is the reason why the present administration is giving the sector the needed attention.
In their separate remarks, the permanent secretary ministry of health and executive Secretary Bauchi state primary health care development program Dr Rilwanu Mohammed mentioned some of the challenges the ministry and the agency are facing especially with regards to lack of manpower.
The head of the service was at the hospital management board where he was received by the executive chairman of the board Dr Sambo Alkali and other staff of the agency.
The executive chairman noted that the visit is timely as the board is faced with enormous challenges.
The head of the service reassured the commitment of the Bauchi state government to sanitise the payroll and would not be distracted by the activities of saboteurs who are benefiting from it.
While addressing the staff of Bauchi state drug and medical consumables agency and Bauchi state scholarship board, Yahuza Adamu Ningi called on the staff of the two agencies to go for additional qualifications in order to build their capacity.
The Executive Secretary Drug and medical consumables management agency Pharmacist Abdulkadir Ahmad complained about the lack of office accommodation and manpower.
The Familiarisation tour was terminated at the ministry of power, science, technology and innovation where the permanent secretary of the ministry Nathaniel Muazu said the visit has given the staff of the ministry a sense of belonging.
Yahuza Adamu Ningi reminded the staff of the ministry that civil servants are engines for development and must ensure a cordial relationship with the government and policymakers.
In all the ministries and agencies visited, the head of civil service warned the civil servants against participating actively in politics.
