The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bauchi State Chapter, Rev. Dr. Abraham Damina Dimeus, has urged Christians to remain security conscious as they celebrate the Christmas season, stressing the need for vigilance amid emerging security concerns.
Speaking during the 2025 CAN Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons at First Baptist Church, Yandoka Road, Dimeus reminded worshippers that Christmas should be celebrated joyfully but responsibly, with deliberate efforts to safeguard communities and report suspicious activities promptly.
He emphasized that maintaining peace and order requires collective action, noting that Christians must stay aware of their surroundings and cooperate with security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property during the festive period.
Dimeus, in his message titled “Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All,” also encouraged the faithful to embrace peaceful coexistence, urging Christians to celebrate harmoniously with Muslims and people of goodwill across Bauchi State.

He assured the gathering of his continued commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to all residents without discrimination, calling for sustained cooperation and support from the Christian community as his administration approaches its final phase.
Pastor Magaji, speaking further in his personal remarks, praised the governor’s inclusive leadership style, noting that Bauchi State has become a true reflection of unity, peace, and ethnic and religious harmony under the current administration.
He appealed to Christians to intensify prayers for a God-fearing leader who will sustain the atmosphere of peace, progress, and inclusivity currently enjoyed, stressing that continuity is essential to preserving the state’s stable and crisis-free environment.
