TETFund’s Centre of Excellence in Integrated Farming System of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has said that it is ready for collaborations with government and private sector on agro-business skills acquisition.
The centre is open to ratifying short term partnerships for training, skills and certification covering integrated farming systems.
Dr Kolawole Richard, Director of the Center said this during the inaugural meeting of the staff of the centre at the Polytechnic.
The Director said the centre assembled all the required facilities and instruments to train interested individuals, groups and organisations seeking excellence in the integrated farming business.
He said the centre visited organisations within Bauchi and the entire North East subregion with proposals for collaborations in smart agriculture, insisting that it is the future of the agricultural value chain globally.
He said that the Centre has assembled a crop of professionals who will serve as Technical Advisory Committee that will be in charge of providing directions to be taken in fishery, husbandry, nutrition and dietetics as well as post-harvest technology.
It will be recalled that TETFund has given approval for siting of its Centre of Excellence for North East at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi to lead its contemporaries in the region.
