The program, held in Azare, the headquarters of Katagum Local Government, aims to equip participants with essential skills for agricultural productivity.

Addressing the gathering, Director of Agricultural Services at the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Malam Ayatullahi Salihu, highlighted the program’s inception in 2022 in Kano State and Jigawa, emphasizing its role in fostering agricultural interest among graduates from diverse academic backgrounds.

The training falls under the Graduates Empowerment Program organized by the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, with a focus on fostering self-reliance among graduates and mitigating unemployment.

Salihu stressed the importance of utilizing acquired knowledge effectively and assured participants of post-training monitoring.

During the event, a resource person Mrs. Rose Bariyat Philip delivered a presentation on poultry production, providing insights into effective farming practices.

Expressing gratitude, participants Muhammad Idris and Hafsat Kabir Umar commended the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority for organizing the training, acknowledging its potential to elevate their livelihoods.

They pledged to apply the knowledge gained diligently and also step it down for the benefit of other people in their various locations.
