Just In: Nuhu Ahmed Wabi Emerges New Emir of Jama’are

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has approved the appointment of Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi as the new Emir of Jamar’are.

The appointment of Nuhu came weeks after the demise of his father late Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Wabi III last month. Alhaji Muhammadu Wabi died at the age of 83 after spending over 50 years on the throne to become the longest-serving traditional ruler in Northern Nigeria.

The Governor who was represented at the official presentation of the appointment letter to the emir in Jama’are by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government Ibrahim Kashim said the appointment of Alhaji Nuhu followed due and careful consideration of the names recommended by the Kingmakers of Jama’are Emirate Council.

He called on the new emir to discharge his duties in the best interest of his people without preference among them.

Bala Mohammed said the new emir has the best role model in his late father, asking him to copy the exemplary leadership style and qualities he lived by.

The governor congratulated Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi on his appointment.
