The Kautal Pulaku Fulbe Association of Nigeria, Bauchi State Chapter, a Fulani socio-cultural organisation, has inaugurated new state and local government executives during a ceremony held at Zaranda Hotel, Bauchi, on January 18, 2026.
At the state level, those sworn in include Alhaji Lawal Ardo as State Chairman, Maikudi Alhaji as State Vice Chairman, and Comrade Danjuma Musa Kirfi as Secretary-General.
The association also inaugurated local government executives from across the state. They include Amadu Mohammed for Alkaleri Local Government Area, Ardo Muhammadu for Bauchi Local Government Area, Mamuda Ibrahim for Misau Local Government Area, Jauro Manu for Ningi Local Government Area, Sabo Muhammed for Katagum Local Government Area, and Dahiru Ibrahim for Jama’are Local Government Area.
Speaking at the ceremony, the newly inaugurated State Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Ardo, charged the officials to discharge their responsibilities with the fear of God and in the overall interest of the Fulani community. He assured members that the association would continue to collaborate with the Bauchi State Government in addressing long-standing challenges confronting Fulani communities in the state.

Ardo commended Governor Bala Mohammed for banning farming activities within 45 metres of major highways, a policy he said would enable herders to move freely with their livestock. He described the decision as “a gesture worthy of emulation by other governors across the country.”
On the 2027 general elections, Ardo said the Fulani community would only support candidates who demonstrate genuine commitment to addressing their challenges.
Also speaking at the event, the association’s Woman Leader, Maryam Hussaini, pledged the full support of women to the activities of the association. She urged women and youths to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that active political participation is crucial to resolving issues affecting Fulani communities nationwide.
