The National Association of Public Health Students, Bauchi State Chapter, has honored the General Manager of Albarka Radio, Alhaji Dauda Muhammad Ciroma, with an award in recognition of his exemplary leadership, dedication to youth empowerment, and unwavering commitment to community development.
The award ceremony, held in Bauchi, highlighted the association’s appreciation for Alhaji Ciroma’s outstanding track record in nation-building and holistic service to humanity.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Ciroma expressed profound gratitude to the association for recognizing his contributions, emphasizing the selfless nature of community service.
“It came out of the blue in the sense that I was never expecting anything in return. When you serve humanity, you don’t expect anything in return, but like Allah wills, rewards will always come your way,” Ciroma said.
He acknowledged the significance of the award, stating it reinforced his belief that acts of kindness, no matter how small, are appreciated. “The small things that you do that put smiles on the faces of people are actually what they appreciate so much. This recognition has given me hope to continue, knowing fully well that people appreciate these efforts,” he added.
Ciroma also encouraged the students to remain committed to their profession and uphold the ethical values of public health. “Be inspired by what you do, the love of your profession, and your code of conduct. Save lives and forget about materialistic things. The first code of conduct is saving lives. Just continue to do that, and Allah will surely guide you,” he advised.
He commended the students for their resourcefulness and dedication to making a positive impact in their communities, urging them to persevere in their journey of service and excellence.
The award, he noted, would remain a cherished milestone in his career and a source of motivation to continue his work for the betterment of society.
The event was attended by students and well-wishers, who lauded Alhaji Dauda Muhammad Ciroma for his inspiring leadership and contributions to the growth of youths and the development of Bauchi State
