Research For National Development Remains Our Priority – Bauchi Varsity

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi says it has set a machinery in motion to consolidate research, innovation and development glory for the technological growth of the institution.

Sparking at the opening of the research grand winning proposal writing, workshop, the vice-chancellor of the University professor Ahmed Mohammed AbdulAziz said the University will restrategize towards assessing the 8.5 billion Naira national research fund.

The VC was represented by the deputy vice Chancellor administration, professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba, said no nation can be developed without research, pointed out that the recent law performance of the University on grand winning is worrisome.

On her part, the director of research, innovation and development of the institution, professor Fatima Sawa charged the 170 selected lecturers to be resolute and determined towards changing the narrative.

According to her, lack of collaborative research by the resource persons, absence of foreign students and lecturers remain the bane that hindered the University to access the TETFUND grand.
