The Christian Council of Nigeria, Bauchi State Chapter, has conferred a meritorious award on Albarka Radio presenter, Ude Ogbonnaya Israel, for outstanding programme presentation and consistent positive contributions to society.

The recognition highlights his sustained impact in using the media space to inform, educate, and inspire listeners through programmes that address social values, public interest issues, and community development conversations.

The award was presented on Friday, 26th December 2025, shortly after Ude hosted the leadership of the Christian Council of Nigeria on a special radio programme tagged Christmas Special.

The programme, aired on Albarka Radio 97.5FM Bauchi, focused on reflective discussions around Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations, encouraging listeners to embrace unity, responsibility, and purposeful living.

Presenting the award, the CCN State Chairman, Reverend Professor Agbong Collins David, commended the presenter’s unique approach, professionalism, and consistency in delivering programmes that resonate deeply with the public.

He noted that the award was inspired by years of strategic programme delivery, audience engagement, and a deliberate effort to maximise the reach of a respected and widely listened radio platform.

According to the chairman, Ude’s presentation style is engaging and relatable, earning strong public acceptance and demonstrating how impactful broadcasting can influence attitudes and promote positive societal values.

He stressed that recognising excellence was necessary to encourage greater commitment, innovation, and higher standards within the media space, especially among broadcasters shaping public opinion daily.

Responding, Ude Ogbonnaya Israel expressed profound gratitude, describing the honour as a strong motivation to improve creativity, deepen impact, and continually raise the quality of his programme presentations.

He revealed it was his first award from a Christian body in Bauchi State, as CCN also honoured the General Manager of Albarka Radio for outstanding leadership and the station’s growing influence beyond the state.
