Bauchi Emir has tasked Youths to play their part in securing the economy and security of the State by becoming self-reliant and law-abiding citizens.
Represented by Ɗanisan Bauchi Yakubu Ibrahim, the Emir gave the task while speaking at the grand opening ceremony of a one-week entrepreneurship skills training for one hundred unemployed Youths by the Bauchi Office of the National Directorate of Employment NDE.
The Emir then lauded the NDE for its immense contribution in reducing the rate of unemployment in the society, charging the participants to make good use of the skills acquired to improve their lives as well as drop the skills to people of their communities.
Earlier speaking the Bauchi State Coordinator of the NDE Ali Lawan Yaya said the training is basically for entrepreneurship skills and the participants will be issued with certificates at the completion of the training which can be used in securing loans to embark on businesses.
Similarly, the Directorate launched the training of thirty women on how to make wigs and decorative paints among others and would be given twenty-five thousand naira each as a starter pack at the end of the exercise.
