Live In Peace With One Another, Bauchi First Lady Tells Christians, Muslims

Christians and Muslims have been urged to redouble their efforts to live peacefully with one another toward building Bauchi state and the nation to the next level.

The Bauchi state First Lady Hajiya Aishatu Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad made the statement at the 5th Christmas Carol organized by the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with Nigeria Television Authority,

NTA Bauchi, held at the Church of Christ in Nations COCIN Millennium quarters Yelwan Kagadama.

The first lady who was represented by the commissioner of women affairs and child development, Hajara Jibrin Gidado, said her door is open toward assisting women, Youths and children in the state.

The first lady appreciated the support the association is giving to the development of her husband’s administration since their assumption in office.

Hajiya Aishatu Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad called on the followers of the two religions to promote peaceful coexistence in society.

In his remarks, Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Bauchi State chapter, Reverend Dr Abraham D. Dimues, called on the Christian community to hammer on peace among the people and religious leaders to preach peace to their followers wherever they found themselves.

Reverend Abraham appealed to the state government to fulfil its promise of completing their church and providing CAN with a new cemetery, saying that they are praying along with him for the success of his administration.

He, therefore, commended the state first lady and the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for their tireless effort in assisting the good people of Bauchi state without any bias.

The highlight of the occasion includes a presentation of cash donation rice, cotton of bottle water and soft drinks by the state First lady.
