Media organizations in Bauchi state have been admonished to intensify awareness through their Content on The importance of covid-19 vaccination to the citizens.
A Breakthrough Action Nigeria Communication expert Mr Eze Eze made the admonishment during a one day media and stakeholders workshop on mass covid-19 vaccination exercise in Bauchi.
Mr. Eze Eze said Media as a strong pillar have to be reminded about the task ahead of them especially during public health emergencies.
He stated that the meeting was aimed at boosting the morale, commitment as well as ginger the journalists to give their own quarter for the success of the exercise.
Updating the participants about the covid-19 pandemic situation in Bauchi state, the state epidemiologist, Bauchi Primary Healthcare development agency Mr Gandi A. Yiga said 97, 548 people have been vaccinated during the First and second phases of the exercise in Bauchi state.
He added that the state task force on Covid-19 has already swung into action modalities to safeguard the state against omicron variants of the pandemic.
The participants were drawn from 17 Radio stations across the state, representative of the state primary Healthcare development agency as well as public relations officers from ATBU and Federal polytechnic Bauchi.
